Game shooting on Boughton Estate
Several new drives, including the Boughton Wood Beat, have been specifically designed to use the land to present game to their greatest potential. Our Partridge season begins in September.
Our traditional programme of pheasant shooting starts in mid-October, and is among the best in the country. You can also enjoy mixed pheasant/partridge days throughout the season. With first-class driven partridge over high and abundant hedgerows, this is a sporting experience you won’t forget.
If you enjoy woodland pheasant shooting, you should consider a visit to Boughton in December/January. More and more clients are discovering this rare pleasure.
Here’s a day for the true sporting connoisseur. When the weather conditions are suitable and enough woodcock have come to the Estate, our Headkeeper will offer occasional Woodcock Shoot days. An expected bag of 50+ birds will give you a thoroughly rewarding day’s sport. By their nature, these days cannot be pre-booked.
