You will find the Boughton House Tearoom in the beautifully refurbished Stable Block, adjacent to the main House.
You can visit our Tearoom during our public open season (see opening times for details). It is also specially open for pre-arranged group bookings outside of the season. We pride ourselves on our homemade food and, where possible, use produce from the Estate. The Tearoom sells a god selection of hot and cold drinks and delicious cakes.
All food is prepared to order. If you are coming in a large group, please have a look at our group tours page for information on pre-ordering food.
On your visit to Boughton House, you can also indulge in a little retail therapy. Whether you’d like to take home a memento of your visit, or a gift for someone special. You’ll find a range of unique products from luxury food and drink to jewellery, homeware and exclusive Boughton branded products.
NEW Boughton House in Paperback
Boughton’s new paperback book, Boughton: The House, its People and its Collections, is now available to buy. Written by Richard, Duke of Buccleuch and Queensberry, the new paperback sets the scene with a history of his ancestors, the Montagu’s of Boughton, who acquired the manor in Northamptonshire in the reign of Henry VII. The book showcases Boughton’s celebrated art collection and includes some wonderful photographs from the Buccleuch archives.
The Coach House
In the 18th Century Coach House you will find the distinctive black and gold Buccleuch State Coach, with a rich history. The Coach House will also bring out your nostalgic side with displays of old fire fighting equipment from through the years.
We also have a second-hand bookshop in the converted stables so you can find your next good read.
