Furness Foreshore and Mines & Minerals

The boundary of Boughton Estate’s registered foreshore and mines and minerals within the Furness peninsula is shown as follows – Buccleuch Land Ownership – Buccleuch.  Once opened, click the left drop down arrow by Borders Estate and select ‘Furness Estate’ to display our surface title areas and similarly select ‘Furness – Mines & Minerals Only’ to display our mines and minerals title areas.

The Estate seeks to manage its site to deliver sustainable economic development by offering leases and licences supporting a variety of sectors including aquaculture, nature reserves, renewable energy, infrastructure and quarrying whilst at the same time having regard to maintain and improve the conservation status of the area.
