The Garden’s can be separated into distinct areas, open at different times:

 

Rose Garden

Gardens, Landscape and Parkland

Opening Information
The full Gardens and Parkland can be enjoyed when the House is open:

  • Saturday 16th April to Tuesday 19th April, 1pm -5pm
  • Saturday 30th April to Monday 2nd May, 1pm-5pm
  • Mondays and Tuesdays in May, 1pm-4pm*
  • Saturday 21st & Sunday 22nd May, 1pm-5pm
  • Monday 1st to Tuesday 2nd August, 1pm – 5pm
  • Saturday to Tuesdays in August, 1pm – 5pm

Admission

Adults £6, Child (5-16) £4, under 5’s Free, Family (2+2) £14

Parkland and Landscape

Opening Information

This year we are delighted to be opening the wider Parkland and Landscape on additional dates too.

This includes the Walled Garden, Wilderness Woodland and Orpheus* but excludes some areas closest to the House.

Boughton’s gardens were laid out to impress the eye, for decades the landscape was carefully shaped and teased by the 1st and 2nd Dukes of Montagu into a series of stunning vistas, tree-lined avenues and bold water features

Orpheus
21st Century Garden - Orpheus

In addition to restoring the historic gardens, a new bold garden feature was installed by the current Duke in 2009, Orpheus.

An outstanding example of the restoration work around the gardens.  The Grand Etang project exemplifies how landscapes of the past can be restored and rejuvenated for the future
