Napoleon at Boughton House

Boughton House to feature in the new Hollywood blockbuster charting the life and love of Napoleon Bonaparte.

We are thrilled to be able to share the news that Boughton House was used as one of the filming locations for Apple TV’s new Napoleon film.

Often referred to as the ‘English Versailles’ Boughton House was the perfect back drop for some of the intense and memorable scenes in the film.

Directed by Ridley Scott and starring Joaquin Phoenix as Napoleon, this film is an original and personal look at Napoleon’s origins in Corsica. Charting his swift and ruthless rise to emperor 1804, and his lasting legacy as one of the most feared and revered military men in history. This is set against a turbulent personal life, which is said to have led to his actions on the battlefield.
