Louis Chéron Ceilings
A standout feature of the Great Hall is the fantastic painted ceiling by Louis Chéron – ‘The Marriage of Hercules and Hebe’. Known for his Baroque-style artwork, Chéron’s work is rich in detail and dramatic composition.
Over 300 years old, the ceilings have recently undergone major restoration in order to be rejuvenated into their original bright and bold state.
