Boughton House & Gardens are open on the below dates with three tours to enjoy: The Great Hall Tour, State Rooms Tour and Books, Beds and Beyond. Entry to the Gardens is included.

- Saturday 27th to Monday 29th May, 1pm-5pm
- Monday 31st July and Tuesday 1st August, 1pm – 5pm
- Friday to Tuesday in August, 1pm – 5pm
- 4th-8th
- 11th – 15th
- 18th – 22nd
- 25th – 29th
We also welcome Group Tours or Private visits all year round by appointment – please get in touch if you would like to find out more.

A glimpse into the magnificent interior of Boughton House.
With so much to see we have created three special tours:
- The Great Hall Tour
- The State Rooms Tour
- Books, Beds and Beyond
All the tours also include entry to the Gardens and Stableyard attractions, including the Tearoom and Gift Shop.
Our Tours
At Boughton House, we offer three different tours of the House: The Great Hall Free Flow, the State Rooms Tour and Books, Beds, and Beyond. Each takes in a different area of the House, and all include entry to the Gardens.
If you wish to enjoy all tours, please select: Great Hall at 1.15pm. Once added to basket, on next page select State Rooms Tour at 2pm weekends or 2.30pm weekdays (‘Add On’ option) and 3.30pm Books, Beds and Beyond (‘Additional Tour’ option).
The Great Hall Experience/Tour*
Enjoy the fabulous treasures of Boughton House! Our knowledgeable guides will help you to understand 500 years of heritage, history and people that culminated in the house and collection we have today. In August this can be enjoyed free flow or by guided tour. At the weekends the Great Hall Experience is self-led with helpful guides located in several rooms. On weekdays it will be guided tour (Fridays, Mondays and Tuesdays).
Duration: The ten rooms will take 45mins – 1 hour.
Price: £14 including access to the Gardens and Armoury. Included in Historic Houses membership.
Times: Weekends: You can enjoy any time between 1.15pm to 5pm (last entry at 4pm). Friday, Monday, Tuesday: Tours at 1.15pm, 2pm and 4pm
The State Rooms Tour (Guided)*
Follow in the footsteps of William III and enjoy the splendour of the State Apartments that were created for his visit in 1695. Several of the fabulous ceilings painted by Louis Chéron have undergone extensive restoration and conservation for your enjoyment.
Duration: You will be guided through the ten rooms which will take 45mins – hour.
Please note: There are stairs on this tour and we do not currently have a lift.
Price: £14 with access to Gardens or only £5 if also doing The Great Hall Tour or you are an Historic Houses member.
Times: Weekends: 2pm or 4pm. Weekdays (Friday, Monday and Tuesday): 2.30pm or 3.30pm
The Books, Beds and Beyond Tour (Guided)*
An eclectic and adventurous tour of the library, bedrooms, backstairs, kitchen and other hidden areas of the House.
Duration: Approximately one hour.
Please note: The tour encompasses many staircases, some quite challenging, as you wind around the house.
Price: £10.00 (as an addition to the Great Tour or State Rooms Tour or for Historic Houses members, £16 if standalone.)
Time: 3.30pm
The Armoury
Don’t miss the world-renowned Boughton Armoury when you visit. The Armoury contains an outstanding collection of swords, pistols and armour, some of which are over 500 years old. It will be open for visitors to enjoy as part of The Great Hall Experience/Tour.

Historic Houses Members
We are delighted to welcome Historic House members. Members of Historic Houses are able to enjoy a free visit to the Gardens or the Great Hall Tour (including Gardens). The State Rooms Tour and Books, Beds and Beyond are charged at normal rates.

Gardens: Free.
Great Hall and/or Gardens: Free.
Gardens and State Rooms Tour: £5 per person.
Gardens, Great Hall tour and State Rooms Tour: £5 per person.
Gardens, Great Hall tour and Books and Beyond tour: £10 per person.
Gardens, Great Hall tour, State Rooms and Books and Beyond Tour: £15 per person.
